Big T was born in Boston Mass., with his twin brother Timothy. He began singing at age 4 and performed first gig at Parker St. Lounge with his older brother Harold's band when he was just 4 and a half.

Big T started playing the trumpet at 12 and joined a 4 piece jazz band named "By All Means" at the age of 20. While giging with a jazz group called "On Kee" he opened up for such jazz greats at Bob James and Lee Ritenour. Eventually Big T co-founded the group "The Montgomery Smith Project" with drummer Chris Montgomery in 1992 and continued to gig around Boston Mass. until he moved to Virginia.

Two months after arriving here he met and played for the original drummer of Seed Is . . ., Oginga. Currently Big T lends his talent to both Seed Is . . .and the United Fellowship Deliverance Choir.
